In its 69th year, GOOD DESIGN is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide, that honours extraordinary design excellence.

The program was founded in Chicago in 1950 by Edgar Kaufmann, toghether with such pioneers in modern design as Charles and Ray Eames and Eero Saarinen.

Since its inception, The Chicago Athenaeum leads the organization of the program to raise awareness about contemporary design and to honour both designers and industry leaders in design and manufacturing that have chartered new directions for innovation and pushed the envelope for competitive products in the global market.

Participating in this competition and winning awards implies recognition of the will to innovate, redesign and rethink work.
